James Maddison should NOT go to Manchester United because ‘he won’t get better’, Adrian Durham says

Adrian Durham believes James Maddison should reject a move to Manchester United because his development would stall if he went to Old Trafford.

The Leicester star, 22, has reportedly captured the interest of United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham after an impressive debut season at the King Power.

Maddison trains with the England Under-21s ahead of the European Championship campaign

Maddison created 100 chances in the Premier League this campaign, more than any other player, and it is understood the Foxes want £60million for their playmaker.

But Durham argues the Englishman’s career would be better off if he stayed at Leicester, launching a scathing attack on United’s recent history.

“I think if would be a ‘head’s gone’ if he went,” the talkSPORT host said.

“I think he should stay. Brendan Rodgers has joined the club and they’re looking up.

“There’s some positive things happening and a lot of it is being based on James Maddison.

“You go to Manchester United and the recent history says you’re going to flatten out as a footballer.
