Frank Lampard says reaching the Championship play-off final with Derby is up there with the best highlights of his career.
Lampard had a glittering career as a player that included 11 major trophies including three Premier League titles and the Champions League.
His Derby side will take on Aston Villa at Wembley on Monday, with commentary live on talkSPORT, with a place in the top flight up for grabs.
Lampard told talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams: “It’s right up there. I can’t say it’s above winning the Champions League because we aren’t there yet and haven’t won promotion.
“Winning the Champions League was an incredible feeling as a player, you can’t get any higher than that.
“In terms of the different type of job I’ve had to do with the responsibility, which is much more taxing than being a player, means the feeling and sensation is right up there with those big nights you talk about.”
Lampard will go up against former Chelsea team-mate John Terry on Monday, who is assistant manager at Villa.
It is just one of a number of links to their former club with young Blues players on loan at both respective clubs.
“I have appreciated that a lot of Chelsea fans have supported us,” Lampard added. “I know they love seeing the younger players do so well.
“Now we come up against JT and the boys and it levels out slightly. I’m delighted to go up against John and Dean (Smith). I have huge respect for Dean as a manager and John as well.

“If there is anyone we are going to up against, so be it. Hopefully we win and if we don’t I will shake their hands and wish them very well with the connection we’ve got. We are both trying to do the same thing and be successful.
“This game is a bit of a crucial moment obviously. I’m pleased I’m going up against someone like John as it means he’s had a great year.”
