Well that’s it for another season but fear not, it’s only a few short weeks before it’ll get going all over again.
Congratulations to Liverpool and their sixth Champions League crown. What an incredible European campaign we’ve had and the Reds are worthy winners.
Commiserations go to Tottenham but they can be very proud of what they’ve achieved this term.
Thanks very much for joining us here at talkSPORT tonight and throughout the season and we’ll see you all again very soon!
Ex-Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, working for BeIN Sports tonight, has had his say on Liverpool's win.
He said: “I think the three midfield Liverpool players, if we are going to see the wave of their positioning, they played on a straight line in front of a back four.
“You don’t remember Henderson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Milner being close to the three attacking players, to have one arrive in the box, nothing. They stayed in a block of seven, they were very pragmatic, very solid defensively.
“I think also that if this match is not the Champions League final, if it is a Premier League match, or the final of the League Cup, we would all say the game was not good.
“Because it is a Champions league final, it has this emotional side of it, but I think the quality of the game was not good, and Tottenham have to be frustrated, because they lost and they feel that they are better than this.
“These big moments are when you have to be at your best level.”

Jordan Henderson speaking to BT Sport: “Without this manager this is impossible. You go through tough times in a season, but what he has done since coming in is unbelievable.
“There's such a togetherness, he has created a special dressing room – all the praise goes to the manager.
“I'm so proud to be a part of this football club and to cap it with this is so special to me .
“I just try to give my best every time I play football and to help my team no matter what. I've had tough times but I've kept going – just as this club has.
“It's the best moment of my life, this is what I dreamed of since I was a kid.
“It's not about me, it's not about me being captain or lifting the trophy, it's about this club, these players, this manager. Now we must keep going and kick on.”
A classy message from Spurs, they can hold their heads up high.

Reds goalscorer Origi told BT Sport: “We've done it.
“It's first about the team. I'm happy that I could play my part, but every single player fought hard today so it's just special.
“You can see the fans, it's a special day for Liverpool.”

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp speaking to BT Sport: “I am so happy for the boys all these people, and my family. They suffer for me, they deserve it more than anybody.
“Did you ever see a team like, this, fighting with no fuel in the tank? And we have a keeper who makes difficult things look easy.
“It is the best night of our professional lives.
“It took a while, it is important for our development and improvement, This little mark helps a lot, now we can carry on. The owners never put pressure on us.
“Normally 20 minutes after the game I am half drunk, but now I have only had water!”
Liverpool player ratings
Alisson Becker: Barely troubled in the first half. Came out positively to claim when he needed to, saved well from Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura, did even better with Christian Eriksen's later free-kick and another from Son. 9
Trent Alexander-Arnold: Looked exposed early on but winning a one-on-one with Son midway through the first half was the confidence-booster he needed. Got better as the game went on and his crossing from open play was a threat. 7
Joel Matip: Steady and dependable from Liverpool's 'other' centre-back. Nothing fussy. Did his job and did it well. 7
Virgil Van Dijk: The big Dutchman is made for games like this. Cruised through until he had to step on the gas to catch Son as he burst into the area and casually dispossessed the Korean. 9
Fabinho: Went unnoticed for most of the game but that should not diminish his contribution. Distribution and ball retention could have been better but did a decent-enough holding job. 7
Jordan Henderson: Under-stated and under-rated performance from the captain. Drove them forward when legs were flagging in the second half. 7
Georginio Wijnaldum: Lacked his usual composure and drive in midfield. Never got a handle on midfield and managed just 15 touches. Replaced by the more robust Milner. 5
Mohamed Salah: Calmness personified for the early penalty. Not at his scintillating best but the goal was some reward to ease the heartbreak of last year. 6
Roberto Firmino: Returned after missing the last three matches and it showed. Lacked his usual spark and was replaced just before the hour. 5
Sadio Mane: Liverpool's liveliest attacker. Won the penalty, was a constant threat down the left and never stopped running. 8
Substitutes
Divock Origi (for Firmino, 58): Switched roles from a nine to a 10 but, as he has done on several occasions this season, popped up with a crucial goal. 7
James Milner (for Wijnaldum. 62): Unlucky not to start as one of Jurgen Kopp's trusted lieutenants. Flashed one left-footed shot just wide. Added some necessary experience. 7
Joe Gomez (for Mane, 89): Late replacement for the tiring Mane to close out the game at 2-0. 6

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold: “It is hard to put into words.
“The season we have had, we deserved it more than any other team. We have done something special, we dominated the game.
“We will not look back and think it was sluggish game, we will see we are European champions.
“I am just a normal lad from Liverpool whose dream has just come true.”

Liverpool striker Mo Salah speaking to BT Sport: “Everyone is happy now, I am glad to play the second final in a row and play 90 minutes finally.
“Everyone did his best today, no great individual performances today, all the team was unbelievable.
“I have sacrificed a lot for my career, to come from a village to go to Cairo, and to be an Egyptian at this level is unbelievable for me.”
But for Liverpool, what a contrast in emotions, just pure joy for them.
The Reds have been superb this season and they deserve this trophy for their football over the past 12 months. Congratulations go to Jurgen Klopp and his men.
A huge disappointment for Tottenham, they just didn't turn up today but they can be so proud of their achievements in Europe this season.
What will the summer bring for Spurs? Can they kick on next term? We shall see…
Not a classic final by any means but that won't matter one bit to Liverpool.
That winning feeling! Liverpool claim their sixth title in Europe's elite competition.
