Martin Odegaard could be offered a route out of his Real Madrid nightmare with Ajax reportedly lining up a move for him.
The 20-year-old is coming to the end of a season-long loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem where he’s scored eight goals in 30 games.
Norway international Odegaard signed for the Bernabeu club in January 2015 as a 16-year-old but is not part of new manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans.
Odegaard was linked with a move to Championship clubs Aston Villa and Derby last summer.
However, it now looks like Champions League semi-finalists Ajax, who humbled Real Madrid in this season’s competition, have taken an interest in Odegaard as they prepare to lose a number of their star players this summer.

According to De Telegraaf, Odegaard has been identified as a top target with his asking price set to fall to just £17million.
He has shown he is suited to life in the Netherlands having spent 18 months on loan at Heerenveen.
Odegaard was handed an £80,000-a-week contract when he first signed for Real having been pursued by numerous elite European clubs.
The midfielder made just one senior appearance for Real though before his loan spells began in 2017.
But Ajax could be the perfect move for Odegaard, with their faith in youth and ability to mix it with the big boys a potent mix.
