Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a major rebuilding job to tackle at Manchester United, with the Norwegian fully aware of the size of the task he has on his hands.
Solskjaer made an incredible start to life at Old Trafford while in interim charge – winning his first eight matches and breaking various records along the way.
However, the honeymoon period has well and truly ended, with United losing six of their last eight games in all competitions since the thrilling 3-1 win over Paris Saint Germain.
As a result their top-four hopes hang in the balance, with United set for another trophyless season.
Wednesday night’s derby meeting with Manchester City is of critical importance to both sides – with Pep Guardiola’s men chasing a second successive Premier League title.

However, the omens do not look good for United – with their last three permanent managers all losing their first league meeting with their bitter rivals.
City have also won on five of their last seven league visits to Old Trafford, while they have only lost one of those encounters at the Theatre of Dreams.
