Union Berlin fans invaded the pitch to celebrate their first ever promotion to the Bundesliga.
The German club finished the Bundesliga 2 season in third place to set up a play-off tie with Stuttgart, who ended their top flight campaign third from bottom.
After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Union Berlin held on for a goalless stalemate at their home ground to win on away goals.
And fans stormed the pitch to celebrate with their heroes at full-time.
Union president Dirk Zingler, who was unable to hold back tears, said: “I’ve been in this club for 40 years.
“I’ve waited for this day for so long.”
Union’s promotion was even more impressive after overcoming World Cup winners Mario Gomez and Benjamin Pavard in a Stuttgart side which also had former Bayern Munich star Holger Badstuber in defence.
Union, who have had major financial problems in the past which saw fans donate blood to raise money for the club, will become the 56th team to play in the Bundesliga.
Manager Urs Fischer said: “The whole club did everything for this success.
