Shocking footage has emerged of Tottenham and Ajax fans fighting in the streets before and after their Champions League semi-final.


The teams were contesting the first leg at White Hart Lane on Tuesday, which the Dutch side won 1-0.

However, videos circulating show glass bottles and traffic cones being hurled outside the stadium on the High Road.


Three police officers were injured and nine arrests have been made in relation to clashes before and after the game.


Thousands of Ajax fans marched through London and took over Leicester Square earlier in the day.


It is not the first time the club’s supporters have caused trouble in Europe this season. Before their quarter-final clash with Juventus, some were found in possession of knuckle-dusters, mouth guards and pyrotechnics.





Despite Ajax fans being held in the stadium after the full-time whistle, violence still broke out.

Along with glass bottles and traffic cones being flung, fans could be seen punching and kicking each other.


A Met Police spokesman said: “As of 9.25pm on Tuesday, a total of nine arrests have been made.















“At around 7.15pm on April 30, a group of fans began throwing missiles outside the stadium.


“Officers intervened and arrested around four people. Three officers sustained injuries – none serious.


“Five other arrests were made prior to kick-off in relation to other incidents.”

One video appears to show a wheelchair-bound fan unable to move as the warring fans hurl objects at each other, as police and another Tottenham supporter attempt to pull her to safety.



In Barcelona, meanwhile, Liverpool CEO, Peter Moore, used Twitter to urge fans to treat the city with respect after videos of supporters pushing fans into a fountain emerged.
